HISTORY: Youngest Mother In Medical History Who Gave Birth At The Age Of 5

Lina Medina.jpg
Lina Medina, seven and a half months into pregnancy

Youngest-mother-ever

Lina Vanessa Medina Medina Lopez made history back in May 1939 as the youngest mother known to man at the age of 5 years old. At first, the parents of the young Lina Medina thought their young daughter was suffering from an abdominal tumor. Her father took her to hospital after the shamans in their remote village of Ticrapo District in Peru failed to find a cure for her.

To everyone’s bewilderment, the five-year old Lina was the mother of a baby boy a little over a month later.

Medina herself was born on September 27, 1933 in a little village called Paurange. At the time of giving birth to her first born, Medina was five years and seven months old. Coincidentally, she delivered on Mothers’ Day of May 14, 1939. For those of us thinking far ahead, the delivery was done by caesarean. The boy child, weighing 2,700 grams, was in perfect condition and healthy. Mother and baby left the clinic after just a few days.

Those thinking of blackballing their young daughters can be on the lookout for these early warning signs. Medina began menstruating at the age of 8 months, believe it or not, breast and pubic hair started developing at the age of four years, her bone hardening was quite advanced and body proportions were a bit incredible. These are some of the signs of premature pregnancy.

The boy, named Gerardo after one of the doctors who attended to his young mother, discovered at the age of 10 that the person whom he all along took to be his bigger sister was in fact his mother. Gerardo passed away in 1979 aged 40 years from a bone marrow disease. It could not be established if there was a link to his being born by such a young mother.

Actress Stella Damasus blasts Nigerian Senators (VIDEO)

Stella Damasus, a well-known Nigerian Nollywood actress, recently posted a video on the internet expressing her views which actually is the majority of Nigerians’view (I am one of such believes too). This time around she is so angry that she has to use her talent in the media to confront the so-called untrusted powers-that-be. She doesn’t seem to give a dime, the screen diva lent her voice in a video to the growing outcry against child marriage.

Damasus did not mince words in laying it on Nigerian Senators who she referred to as “shameless and randy old men”. She also called on the First Lady, Patience Jonathan to stand up and lend her voice to many others against the child marriage bill.

The debate has been all over the media with commentators expressing varying views on the issue. We are awaiting further reactions from NGOs, celebrities, politicians etc. to hear their views concerning this silly child marriage bill.

VIDEO: Angel Caught On CCTV Saving A Man From An Accident

As meaningless as this video may seem to some people, few people will seize the opportunity to re-connect to God. After seeing the video, I couldn't stop pondering over how great and merciful our God is. He is too great than words can describe.

If you watch this video and still have doubts about the existence of God and spiritual beings taking charge of situations, then you have a serious problem.

See for yourself and tell us what you think.

Corrupt Men Are Walking Free In Nigeria; Says Jerry Rawlings

Former President and the man who cleansed Ghana of corruption, Jerry Rawlings, had said if Nigeria must get things right and develop the country, corrupt politicians must not be allowed to go scot-free as is presently the case in the so-called giant of Africa.
Condemning Nigerian leaders for sending petty thieves to prison for a several years while big political thieves are seen as untouchables, Rawlings said:
“We live in countries where poor, petty thieves get imprisoned for several years, while businessmen who evade taxes in millions of dollars or politician who misappropriates millions of state funds escape punishment."
“These inequalities are recipes for the retrogression of our democracies and we cannot allow the negative tide to continue. A democracy that cannot provide socio-economic justice cannot be a healthy democracy and will remain vulnerable and fragile.”
According to Rawlings, Nigeria must stop paying lip service to eradicating corruption.

Rawlings spoke at a conference on Emerging Democracies in Africa: Challenges and Opportunities, organized by the National Institute for Legislative Studies, Abuja, on Monday.

Ghastly motor accident on Festac Link Bridge (VIDEO)

The accident which occurred on Festac link bridge was responsible for the heavy hold-up this morning around Mile 2/Festac 1st/2nd gate and the link bridge. As at the time of uploading the video below, no loss of life has been confirmed. The driver of the tricycle (Keke NAPEP) and the passenger inside the bus at the time of the incident were reported to be smart enough to run for their dear lives before the loads on the trailer fell on the tricycle. The tricycle was crushed down by the heavy irons the trailer was conveying.
We really thank God for the safety of lives in this accident.
