UPDATE: Brymo confirms his exit from Chocolate City

At this point, we should be asking who is fooling who. Firstly, there were rumours that Brymo had left Chocolate City, then the record label released a statement denying the rumour, and now Brymo has gone on Twitter to set the record straight.
Though the record company is insisting he still has a valid contract with them, but what we have below is a proof that Brymo has joined his former label mate Jesse Jagz

He still has three years and two albums to deliver, that’s what his contract says‘, a rep for the label said.
The question now is; what do we believe?

brymo

Here is an update from World PR Media.

Brymo’s record PR company released this brief statement on behalf of Chocolate City Music:
" We can confirm that Brymo still has a valid contract with Choc City and we are certain our Artiste “Brymo” can confirm the same fact. We urge all reputable media houses to check facts with our establishment prior to releasing “Untrue” stories to the general public that rely on them for valuable Information".

So my people Choc nation is still intact.

Brymo Leaves Chocolate City

Brymo has decided to quit with his record Label, Chocolate City. This latest development occurs barely two months after former label mate Jesse Jagz walked away from the company.

HipHopWorld has it on reliable information that the “Ara” singer officially parted ways with ‘Choc City’ over the weekend; but both parties have managed to keep a lid on the issue until now.

Brymo has been rumored to be not-so-friendly with some members of the Choc family; and apart from the business side of things, it doesn’t seem like ‘The Son of a Kapenta’ will be sorely missed by his remaining label-mates.

Chocolate City now only has M.I and Ice Prince left as its established acts.

MTN Plans To Splash Over N100m On New Ambassadors

Photo - MTN To Splash Over N100m On New Ambassadors

Nigeria’s leading telecoms company, MTN may be coughing out over N100m as endorsement fees for its new ambassadors if information gathered by NET are anything to go by.

The giant which has had a radical shift in policy, following the recent portability drama, is hoping to push pop star Davido, along with four Project Fame alumni, as brand ambassadors; before any rivals – especially Etisalat which was badly burnt in the Saka Portability campaign – picks them up.

It’s the first time MTN is signing official brand ambassadors. An inside sources told NET over the weekend, that the project which has the blessings of the new marketing director, will gulp hundreds of millions – including endorsement fees, and costs associated with campaigns that’ll involve the ambassadors.
No specific detail on what each act is being paid, but we’re told each of the Project Fame acts will receive nothing less than N15m. And Davido who was reportedly paid N30m for his debut MTN TVC last year is also renewing for the same amount.

NET confirmed last week, that Iyanya, Chidinma and Praiz have already sealed their deals, as well as Davido. We could not immediately confirm the situation with Mike, or if other PFWA winners were being considered now or in the near future.

The South Africa owned company is expected to make an official announcement in a matter of days.
